Kirsty Nelson works as a consultant immigration and asylum solicitor at KBP Law. She has worked for the firm since 2022 first as a senior caseworker and since 2024 as a solicitor. She has previously worked in the field of criminal defence law. Kirsty obtained her Master of Laws in Professional Legal Practice with distinction in March 2022. Kirsty has a particular passion for cases involving unaccompanied asylum-seeking children, trafficking and slavery matters and domestic violence applications. She works closely with a number of domestic violence charities and completes SET DV applications for settlement for victims of domestic violence.
She is known for her compassionate, caring and sensitive nature in these cases. One recent testimonial from one of her clients who obtained ILR on the basis of the domestic violence she encounters states:
